Doctor Pegoli was born in Genova, Italy in 1969.
He graduated at Genova University Medical School in 1994 and completed his residency program in Orthopaedics and Traumathology in 1999.
He got a research fellowship in hand surgery at Harvard University Hand Service, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA and a clinical fellowship at Hirosaki University, Japan.
From 2001 he works at the Hand Surgery Unit, Policlinico Multimedica, Plastic Surgery Department University of Milan as Chief of Hand Unit Trauma Service.
He is University Tutor of University of Milan, Italy.
From 2005 he is a professor at Vita e Salute University, Saint Raffaele Hospital, Milan.
He is co founder and past president of WRISTH - World Research Institute for Sport Traumatology of the Hand and founder and Segretary General of ISSPORTH – International Society for Sport Traumatology of the Hand.
He is a member of the Italian Society for Surgery of the Hand and a member of other international societies among which are the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society, The INternational Society for Sport Traumatology of the Hand and the Japanese Society for Surgery of the Hand. He speaks English fluently, and Spanish and Japanese moderately.
